Bot Health — Is Your Bot Doing Its Job?

Bot Health (Dashboard → Bot Health) is a plain-language check-up of your assistant. Instead of raw logs, it shows the few signals you can actually act on: how well the bot is answering, what it's struggling with, and a short to-do list to make it better. It's available on all plans.

Health Summary

At the top you get an overall status and the headline numbers for the recent period:

  • StatusGood, Needs attention, or New (not enough activity yet to judge).
  • Answer rate — how often the bot gave a confident answer rather than a fallback.
  • Questions handled — how many customer questions it fielded.
  • Leads captured — contacts collected in the period.

Knowledge Gaps

This lists the questions customers asked that the bot couldn't answer well, with how many times each came up and when it was last seen. It's the single most useful list on the page: each gap is a prompt to add content. Add a Q&A pair or a document covering it in Knowledge, and the bot stops missing that question.

Action Items

A prioritized to-do list generated from your account. Each item has a severity and, where relevant, a button that takes you straight to the fix:

  • Action needed — something is holding the bot back (e.g. an empty knowledge base or an inactive widget).
  • Suggestion — an optional improvement that would help.
  • Info — a heads-up, nothing required.

You can Resolve an item once you've handled it, or Dismiss it if it doesn't apply — either way it clears from the list.

Setup Checks & Usage

  • Setup checks — quick flags for common gaps: knowledge base empty, widget not active yet, or no allowed domains configured.
  • Usage — where you stand against your plan's messages, knowledge chunks, and file limits, each with a percentage.

WhatsApp Health

If your plan includes WhatsApp, this section shows your connection status and number, and the status of your message templates (approved / pending / rejected) — so you can spot a template that isn't approved before it affects order confirmations or campaigns. On plans without WhatsApp, this section is hidden. See WhatsApp Setup and WhatsApp Templates.

What Bot Health Does Not Show

Bot Health is deliberately customer-focused: it only surfaces signals about your business that you can act on. It never shows infrastructure internals or any other business's data. For richer conversation metrics and trends, use Analytics (Pro+).

How to Use It Weekly

  1. Check the status and answer rate.
  2. Clear the knowledge gaps by adding content for the top missed questions.
  3. Resolve any "action needed" items.
  4. Confirm WhatsApp is connected and templates are approved.
