Team Members — Invite Teammates & Set Roles

As your WhatsApp and chat volume grows, you'll want help. The Dashboard → Team page lets you invite teammates, give them the right role, and manage access — so several people can run the inbox, orders, and campaigns together.

Plan requirement: Team members require the Business plan or above.

Roles

  • Owner — the account holder. Full control, including managing the team. There's one owner.
  • Admin — can manage the team (invite, change roles, remove) and use all features.
  • Agent — can work day-to-day (e.g. handle the WhatsApp inbox and orders) but can't manage the team.

Only an Owner or Admin sees the invite form and the role/remove controls; agents see a read-only roster.


Inviting a Teammate

  1. Go to Dashboard → Team.
  2. Enter the teammate's email and pick a role (Admin or Agent).
  3. Click invite. They receive an email invitation to join your business.

If the invite email can't be sent for any reason, Botaura still adds them as a pending member and gives you an accept link you can share with them manually.


Member Statuses

  • Invited — invitation sent, not yet accepted.
  • Active — they've joined and can sign in.
  • Disabled — access has been turned off.

Each member row shows their name, email, role, and status.


Managing the Team

  • Change a role — promote an agent to admin, or vice-versa (owner/admin only).
  • Remove a member — revoke access; you'll be asked to confirm.
  • You can't remove or demote the owner.

Team & the WhatsApp Inbox

Roles pair naturally with the WhatsApp Inbox: you can assign a conversation to a specific agent so it's clear who's handling it. Agents reply to customers; admins/owners can also manage settings and the team.


Team in the Store Apps

Inside the WooCommerce and Shopify apps, the Team screen shows a read-only roster with a link to manage the team in the Botaura dashboard (team management uses your Botaura login, which the embedded app doesn't carry).


Troubleshooting

  • I don't see the Team page controls — only owners and admins can manage the team, and Team is a Business+ feature.
  • Invite email didn't arrive — check spam; otherwise use the manual accept link shown when you invite, and confirm the email address.
  • A teammate can't access something — check their role; agents can't manage the team or account settings.
